Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham Celebrates Dedication of Needham Bank Reception Area

Needham Bank representatives at Beth Israel Deaconess HospitalNEEDHAM, MASS. — Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham (BID–Needham) celebrated the naming of the Needham Bank Reception Area on the first floor of the Lank Cancer Center.  Hospital staff and leadership joined representatives of Needham Bank to recognize the bank’s strong support for the hospital’s capital campaign.

“We are grateful for Needham Bank’s generosity and its support of BID–Needham as we continue to expand the expert care we offer our community,” said John M. Fogarty, president and CEO of
BID–Needham. “Both organizations have served the community for more than 100 years and share the philosophy that banking locally, shopping locally, dining locally—and getting health care locally—enhance the community. We thank them for their role in making the hospital and the town of Needham a strong and thriving community.”

“It is an honor to recognize the generosity of Needham Bank with this dedication ceremony,” said Jennifer A. Pline, chair of the Board of Trustees of BID–Needham. “Both organizations are committed to supporting the community and we are so appreciative of the level of involvement the bank has with the hospital.”

“As a local business, we take a great deal of pride in supporting the cities and towns we serve,” said Mark Whalen, CEO of Needham Bank. “We see it as our responsibility to reinvest in the community by supporting groups that benefit our constituents. And it’s obvious that BID–Needham shares our commitment to giving back to the local community. The advantages of having BID–Needham in the area really can’t be overstated. Whether it’s preventative care or a more serious situation, giving people easy access to high-quality medical care is more than just convenient, it’s essential.”
