David Crane joins Needham Bank as Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager
On August 3rd, Needham Bank announced that David Crane had joined the Commercial Lending team as Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager. Mr. Crane brings over 30 years of experience to his new role, most recently as Senior Vice President-Senior Relationship Manager for Wells Fargo Bank. Prior to that, he originated and closed Sovereign Bank’s first mezzanine capital raise of $16 million as Senior Vice President of Corporate Banking.
Mr. Crane will evaluate, authorize and recommend approval for commercial loans that are generally greater than $10 million in commitment size. He will also assist James Daley, Senior Vice President-Structured Finance, with the build out and growth of the Bank’s Commercial and Industrial Structured Finance practice.
“David is bringing extensive knowledge of financial services and commercial lending practices with him to Needham Bank,” James Daley shared. “He has a tremendous amount of industry experience and success that will make him a great addition to the team.”

In addition to his work experience, Mr. Crane holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from Babson College. He is Vice Chair of the Board of Bird Street Community Center, a Partner Committee Member for the Boston Chapter of Financial Executives International, and an alumni mentor and guest speaker for Babson College’s MBA program. Mr. Crane also volunteers at the Wellesley Council on Aging and USO Logan Airport.
