Needham Bank announced that Jose Umana has joined the retail banking team as Assistant Vice President – Branch Manager at the bank’s branch in Mission Hill. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Umana brings an extensive knowledge of banking regulations, management and customer service best practices. Reporting to Brittany Bouchard, First Vice President Retail Regional Manager, he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Mission Hill’s branch sales and service performance.
From 2001 to 2022, Mr. Umana worked at Century Bank/Eastern Bank, as Vice President Manager, Assistant Manager II, where he cultivated efficient sales and service strategies to deepen customer relationships, create positive experiences and increase business. Prior to that, he worked at Citizens Bank as Head Teller.
“Jose brings a great deal of experience and skill to his new role,” commented Ms. Bouchard. “I am looking forward to seeing him thrive and create meaningful banking relationships with customers in the Mission Hill community.”

Mr. Umana graduated from Boston College and received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He is fluent in Spanish.
