SALEM, N.H. — Sept. 4, 2026 — Needham Bank marked the grand opening of its newest full-service branch at Tuscan Village in Salem, New Hampshire, last week with a $10,000 donation to the Greg Hill Foundation and a surprise gift for a Haverhill, Massachusetts, man preparing for a new career.

Needham Bank Chairman, President and CEO Joe Campanelli and Chief Operating Officer Christine Roberts joined radio host Greg Hill live from Tuscan Village on Aug. 27 to discuss the bank’s expansion in New Hampshire and its commitment to strengthening local communities. During the broadcast, the Needham Bank Charitable Foundation presented a $10,000 donation to the Greg Hill Foundation, which supports families of first responders facing extraordinary circumstances.
One of the morning’s most memorable moments came during the show’s “Money Bags” promotion, when Kyle Charette of Haverhill was selected to play for a chance to win $10,000. While introducing himself, Charette shared that he had recently been laid off and was preparing for a new career as a CDL truck driver. He came close to winning, correctly selecting one of the two money bags needed to claim the prize, but his second pick did not match.
Moved by Charette’s story, Campanelli and Roberts surprised him on-air with a $5,000 gift to support his career transition and help him take the next step toward a new professional path.
“Kyle’s story is exactly why we do what we do. He is working hard to build a better future for himself,” Campanelli said. “We wanted to make sure he walked away from the Greg Hill Show knowing his community is behind him.”

Following the broadcast, Needham Bank held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration at its new Salem branch. The event brought together bank employees, board members, U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander, Salem town officials, customers and community partners to mark the milestone. As part of the celebration, the Needham Bank Charitable Foundation presented $10,000 donations to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem and NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire.
“Our grand opening at Tuscan Village, the warm reception we received and the opportunity to support someone working toward a new career were all reminders that banking is about people first,” Roberts said. “We’re very proud to call Salem home.”
