Needham Bank announced that Jay Massimo joined the Commercial and Industrial Lending team as Senior Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager, Middle Market. He will be responsible for initiating and developing relationships with Middle Market C&I customers, actively managing loan requests from the application stage to funding.
From 2002 to 2023, Mr. Massimo worked for Sovereign Bank/Santander Bank, where he was most recently Managing Director, Mid-Corporate Banking. In that role, he led and developed strategy for technology banking nationwide and actively managed a $1 billion loan portfolio. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager, Middle Market Banking, receiving multiple top performer awards for the new client relationships and additional business he generated. Mr. Massimo worked for FleetBoston Financial as Director/Senior Relationship Manager, Technology Banking before joining Santander.

Mr. Massimo received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also fluent in Spanish with a working knowledge of French.
